1. OBS

OBS or Open Broadcaster Studio is a screen recording and streaming app. It can connect to the webcam and stream from it. It is not a test tool but you can use it to check if the webcam is working. If the webcam does not work with OBS, it looks like something is wrong with it or the device still needs to be installed.

The benefit of using OBS is that if your webcam comes with a built-in mic, you will be able to test it on the video feed side.

  1. Download and install OBS.
  2. Open OBS and click on the additional button under the Sources column.
  3. Choose Video capture device from the table.
  4. Choose your webcam from the tools list and you should see a preview.

2. Webcam test
