Welcome to our OSRS Halloween guide, bringing you the latest scoop on Old School updates. This article will cover this year’s Halloween update and what to expect. So, settle in and get ready to check out what’s to come! Make sure you’re ready for whatever OSRS throws at you; many places offer OSRS gold for sale with unbeatable rates and unbelievable services. With that being said, let’s get into the Halloween spookfest!
There have been rather unusual scenes in Varrock this October. With the Halloween celebrations approaching, strange horrors have entered the land. Ghost children, people dressed as Shakespeare, and many others; every as strange as the last…
Not to mention the strange reports pouring in from all over Gielinor of sugar falling straight from the tree itself! In addition to rocks and popular fishing spots all over the map drop the same sweet treats. You may stumble across some NPCs joining in on the fun. The scary events are just coming.
If you want to explore these events, we suggest you make your way to the West Bank of Varrock. It is sure to be spooktacular fun that no one wants to miss.
Jagex has said that this year’s event will be slightly different from previous ones, reiterating that everyone will still be invited to join the fun, however ! Furthermore, they have mentioned that although most sports and games take place in Varrock and the surrounding areas, players can still find some spooky NPCs further afield.
This spooky event runs from October 26th to November 16th! Giving players more than enough time to immerse themselves in the action, hopefully picking up some rewards along the way.
During this event, you will be able to trick or manipulate some NPCs. You can make your way to Varrock Castle to trick or treat King Roald. Doing so will lead him to a conversation about the difficulties involved in doing so, but then he will have a suggestion. He will tell you to seek out other NPCs that he believes would like your outfit. For each NPC you seek out, they will give 100 treats. Once you’ve shown off your scary outfit and done some trick or treating, you should unlock your Witch costume.
NPCs for trick-or-treating
- King Roald – Varrock
- Aggie – Drainortown
- Party Pete – Falador
- Duke Horacio – Lumbridge
Apart from the above method, you can get your hands on some tasty foods in other ways. So, let’s look at what these methods are and how to go about them.
Ghostspeak Amulet
First and foremost, an addition to the above is to use the Ghostspeak Amulet. Doing this will allow you to communicate with a ghost that spawns after trick or treating a man, woman or guard. When you talk to this ghost, he promises that you will get five concerts in your next trick-or-treating adventure. This is compared to the usual 3-5, securing you the highest deals!
A generous healer
You could also try your luck by finding the Generous Treater. Finding it will give you 100 dances. His location is constantly changing, so you may not get lucky right away, but keep trying. Below we have listed the few known places that the Generous Treater seems to frequent.
Known locations
- South of Gypsy Aris house – Varrock
- East of Horvik – near the Varrock spring
- Southwest of West Anvil House
- Mining
- Wood cutting
- Fishing
The following rewards can be obtained by depositing items into the Great Straits. You can get everything by investing a total of 720 treats in the cauldron.
- Halloween wig
- Witch’s clothes
- Two famous pumpkins
- Two famous Halloween mask sets
There will be additional prizes from previous events. If you want to claim them, you can go to Diango the Merchant.
Across every player, in every world, there will be four treatment goals. If you reach each of these, you will unlock a recolor of the Fair Cross. The game has not yet included all the goals, but the first one is 50M treats deposited.
