How to join a WiFi network on Windows 11

Windows 11 has a lot of UI changes. One major change that was made when you click on a WiFi icon in the system tray, it no longer opens a panel showing nearby connections. This means that how you access a new WiFi network on Windows 11 has changed.

The list of nearby WiFi networks is a bit harder to access on Windows 11 but once you know where to find the list of available connections, all you have to do is use the word -watch to watch for it.

Conclusion

Windows 11 has a nice new UI. Most of the changes are not bad and although the OS is still in beta, it looks clean. The changes made to the system tray panels are likely to be a painful point for some users. The panels allow users to change default settings without having to open the Settings app and go through various tabs and menus. With it gone, and with the Settings app going through a major change in Windows 11, it’s harder to find necessary settings. If nothing else, it will add an unnecessary learning curve to using the new OS.
