Android phones can create hotspots. A hotspot on a mobile device allows nearby devices to connect to the mobile device’s internet connection which is likely to come from the mobile carrier network the Android device is using. A hotspot can also be enabled if the Android phone is connected to a WiFi network but for the most part, it is used by a carrier network.

Fix Laptop without connecting to Android hotspot
For a Windows 10 laptop, an Android information site appears as a wireless network or, if the information site is set up to connect via a data cable, it will appear as an Ethernet network. Connecting to each type of hotspot only requires a little more selection, and entering the password.
If you are trying to connect a laptop to an Android device information site, and it is not connecting, go through these general reviews first.
- Are other devices, especially phones, able to connect to the information site. If not, it is possible that the carrier will block the hot spot. What you see as an information site may not be possible.
- Try using a data cable to connect to the information site if your phone has an option.
- Make sure that other devices are not connected to the Android device information site. It may only be able to connect one device at a time.
- Make sure there are no other, more powerful networks available nearby that your system is connecting to. If so, try to forget them and then try to link to the information site.
- Power cycling for Windows 10 laptop and Android device.
- If the information site on the Android device is not password protected, add a password, and then try to connect.
If you are unable to connect to the Android info site in all the above cases, try the solutions below.
1. Trouble run
Run the Windows 10 network problem. It can detect and fix system connection problems.
- Open the Configuration application with keyboard shortcut Win + I.
- go to Update & Security.
- Select the Troubled tab.
- Click Additional troublemakers.
- Select the Internet Connection Solver.
- Enter all configurations that he praises and restart the system.
2. Reset Android network settings
Try resetting network settings on the Android device. Maybe the problem is with the connection it created.
- Open the Options app on the Android device.
- go to Network & Internet.
- Look for the Reset option.
Note: newer versions of Android allow users to check the Settings app for a specific setting. Try using it instead of manually checking for the reset option.
3. Change hotspot frequency
Try changing the frequency with which the Android device emits its wireless signal. This option may not be available on older or base models. Newer or more powerful models will have the option to change frequency.
- Open the Options app on Android phone.
- go to Hotspot & tethering.
- Tap on it Set up a WiFi hotspot.
- Open the Select drop band AP and select 2.4Ghz.
- Tap on Save and try to connect to the network.
Windows 10 can easily connect to a mobile site. Usually, a problem connecting to a hotspot created on a phone means that the carrier is blocking it. The link may appear active but certainly not. If that is the case, you need to either root your device or ask your carrier if there is an option (paid or otherwise) to block it.
